The International Society of Endovascular Specialists (ISEVS) Asia chapter and Japan chapter session was successfully inaugurated on 14th December 2019 in the meeting of Endovascular Asia 2019, Osaka, Japan. The total number of participants was 158, and countries of participants were Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Philippines.
The session kicked off with the fantastic video from the presidents and CFO of ISEVS. And then, the first half of the session focused on “NO-OPTION CLI”; Dr Kan Zen from Japan, Dr Su Hong Kim from Korea, Dr Hsuan-Li Huang from Taiwan and Dr Uei Pua from Singapore presented their case studies. And, Professor Naoto Yamamoto who is a distinguished plastic surgeon presented a lecture entitled “Salvage of ischemic limbs with vascularized free flaps followed by endvascular revascularization”. In the second half of the session focusing on “Nonatherosclerotic Peripheral Artery Disease”, Dr Yoshito Kadoya presented up-to-date of fibromuscular dysplasia registry in Japan and Dr Osami Kawarada presented practical endovascular therapy for Buerger’s disease based on the current available studies.
